
Men's Basketball To Host Open Scrimmage On Saturday At 10 A.M.

The Maryland men's basketball team will conduct an intrasquad scrimmage in conjunction with Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Comcast Center. The scrimmage is open to the public, admission is free and fans of all ages are encouraged to attend. Fans parking in cash football lots will need to pay $8 for parking.
The scrimmage is scheduled to tip-off at 10 a.m. Comcast Center doors will open at 9 a.m.
2002 ACC Coach of the Year Gary Williams brings a young but talented squad to the floor for the 2003-04 season. Lone senior Jamar Smith and fellow second-year players Nik Caner-Medley and John Gilchrist head up a team that features a combined nine freshmen and sophomores. The Terps will bring a tremendous amount of athleticism and the excitement of a team with limitless potential to the hardwood all season long, and Saturday's scrimmage gives fans one of the first opportunities of the season to see the new squad in action.
