COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Fighting bitter cold and wind, the Maryland gymnastics squad helped the marketing department distribute surveys in Byrd Stadium at Thursday night's Terp football game. The gymnasts, who won the CHAMPS/Life Skills award for excellence in service at last year's M Club banquet, often volunteer their time on campus and in the community.
This Saturday, the Terps will be helping at the Out of Sight Kidfest, a children's wellness festival in Washington, D.C. There they will be teaching area children basic gymnastics moves such as cartwheels and handstands at the beautiful new Washington Convention Center. Admission to Kidfest is free and the event will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 301-577-7800 for more information. The Terp gymnasts hope to see you there!
