Freshman standout Rachel Martinez won the all-around title at the EAGL Championships Saturday night to help propel University of Maryland to a tie for fourth place and a likely berth in the NCAA Regionals.
The Terps posted a score of 195.775 and appear to have locked up fifth place in their region. NCAA bids will be announced Monday.

In winning the all-around crown, Martinez tied for first on beam (9.925), finished second on floor (9.925), and placed third on vault (9.925) The 9.925 marks on the beam and vault are new career and season highs for Martinez. Terp freshman Cameron Logan stepped up big on the beam, posting a career high 9.90 on the event. Sophomore Mandy Pascual tied for fourth on bars with a 9.875.
Maryland's three individual champions in the meet doubled the Terps' total coming into the event. Previously, the Terps had individual event champions in 2000 (Jill Fisher on floor) and 2001 (Fisher on floor, Gillian Cote on bars).
