What's Up With Women's Soccer On The Road At George Washington

Sept. 14, 2003

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sophomore Danielle Malagari continues her season-long journal about the Maryland women's soccer team. Here's her entry from the team's trip to George Washington.

By Danielle Malagari

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Hello everyone, it has Danielle here. It's been awhile since I have updated everyone about the team. I am currently on the bus on the way home from our George Washington game in Northwest Washington, D.C. There have not been as many exciting moments for the past couple of weeks as there were in Seattle. The normal college life has taken us by storm and we are just taking everything day by day with classes and such.

After a wet win over Towson and a hard fought tie with GW right now we are not in the best of spirits. But we're hanging in there. It's been a rough weekend of soccer with a constant drizzle on Friday and artificial turf to play on today.

We are going to use our day off tomorrow wisely and prepare our bodies and minds for the two games coming up this weekend. We are looking into the faces of Loyola and Tennessee at the Maryland/Adidas Classic. It will be an exciting weekend of soccer with William & Mary also being in the tournament. On Thursday the games will be at good old Ludwig Field and on Saturday we will have the opportunity to play on another gorgeous field at the Germantown SoccerPlex.

So come out and support the Terps and enjoy this great weekend of soccer. From the Terrapin Transport Systems team bus, I'm Danielle Malagari signing off. Goodnight and Go Terps!
