Mulyayeva Named ACC Swimmer Of The Week

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Senior Marina Mulyayeva (Almaty, Kazakhstan) was named ACC Swimmer of the Week this week for her performance at the Terrapin Cup Invitational this past weekend.

Mulyayeva broke her own school record in the 200-yard individual medley (2:00.48) and automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships in March. She also recorded NCAA `B' cut times in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.24), the 100-yard butterfly (54.32) and the 100-yard freestyle (51.20). She won the 100-breast and placed second in both the 100-fly and the 100-free. Mulyayeva also was a member of four of the Terps' winning relays - the 200-free, the 200-medley, the 400-free and the 400-medley.
