
Terps Shine at U.S. Olympic Trials

OMAHA, Neb. - Six current and former student student-athletes from the University of Maryland competed in the U.S. Swimming Team Trials last week in Omaha, Neb.
Annie Fittin recorded the best finish of the group with a 17th-place finish in the 50m free (25.59). She also swam in the 100m free (56.61) and 100m fly (1:02.53).
Megan Lafferty also had a strong showing, finishing 20th in the 100m fly (1:00.04). Lafferty also finished 57th in the 50m free (26.19) and 65th in the 100m free (56.93).
Alexa Hamilton had a strong showing in the 200m breast (2:34.48), which registered as a 46th-place finish.
Addison Koelle placed 69th in the 200m fly (2:16.88) and 137th in the 100m fly (1:03.00).
Ginny Glover finished the 100m back in 119th-place with a time of 1:04.79.
John Hauser swam in three heats. He competed in the 50m free (23.34), 100m free (51.06) and 200m free (1:53.83), which resulted in 79th, 77th, and 104th -place finishes, respectively.
