
Terps Take On Clemson At ACC Tournament

The second-seeded Maryland Terrapins will take on seventh-seeded Clemson Wednesday, Nov. 10, in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament in Cary, N.C. The winner will move on to play either No. 3 North Carolina or No. 6 NC State on Friday in the semifinals at 8 p.m.
Maryland (13-4-1, 4-2-1) enters the tournament as the second seed. After beginning the season 0-2-1 in conference play, Maryland rattled off four straight ACC wins to close the season.
The Terps ended the season with six straight wins, including three over ranked teams. Maryland has also won eight of its last nine.
In each of Maryland's ACC Tournament titles, the Terps were seeded second.
Maryland defeated the Tigers earlier this season, 2-0, on October 31. Jason Garey scored two goals to help lead the Terps to victory.
The last time the Terps met Clemson at the ACC Tournament was in 2002, when Maryland came away with a 4-3 win in overtime on Ian Rodway's game-winner. The win helped propel the Terps to the ACC title.
