Maryland fired consecutive rounds of even-par 288 on Friday to earn second place after two rounds of the Rutgers Invitational men's golf tournament on Friday. Saturday's round was cancelled due to rain, and the tournament was limited to 36 holes.
Bobby MacWhinnie led the Terps and tied for fifth overall with a 1-under 141, including an opening round 67. John Eades (73-71-144) finished in an 11th place tie, and Tyler Whitman (72-75-147) in a tie for 18th place. All five Terps finished among the field's top 25, as Matt Schall (79-69-148) tied for 22nd and tallied the team's top second round score, and J.J. Occi (76-74-150) finished in 25th place.
