COLLEGE PARK, MD. - Maryland Freshman Lindsey Bonomo (Bel Air, Md.) has been named EAGL Rookie of the Week for her performance at the Terps quad meet at Ohio State on Saturday. Bonomo scored a team-high 9.800 on vault and finished ninth in that event. Bonomo led the squad to a much-improved team score of 48.700 on vault.

This is the first season for the EAGL Rookie of the Week award and only the second week it has been given. Bonomo is the first Maryland gymnast to win the award.

Bonomo is one of two freshman seeing action this season. Freshman Gretchen Kittelberger has been consistant on vault, scoring a 9.725 at the Maui Invitational and scoring a 9.775 at Ohio State.

The No.22 Terps host Towson University, Saturday, January 22nd in the Comcast Center Pavilion at 3:00pm.
