Terp Men in Second at Liberty Golf Event

LYNCHBURG, Va. - John Eades fired a second-round 68 to finish 36 holes with a 143 total and tie for third place individually Monday at the Frank Landrey Invitational men's golf tournament hosted by Liberty University.

Eades, a senior from Charlotte, N.C., was two shots out of the lead heading into Tuesday's final round. He was one shot behind Richard Schenz-Davis of Liberty and two shots behind Mike Kirby of George Mason, who had rounds of 70 and 71 on Monday.

As a team, Maryland was in second place after rounds of 304 and 288 for a 592 total. The Terrapins were 12 shots behind host Liberty, which had a 289 and 291 for a 580 total.

Also for Maryland, Matt Schall fired a 78 and 71 for a 149 total to tie for 10th. J.J. Occi was tied for 14th at 150, Tully Coyle was at 151 and a tie for 19th and Tyler Witman was at 155 in a tie for 32nd.
