
Freshman Lead Way For Men

Four freshmen led the way for the Terps as the men's cross country team finished 17th overall at the Mid-Atlantic Regional meet on Saturday.
For the sixth consecutive meet, Tyler McCandless paced Maryland, finishing the 10K course in 61st place with a mark of 31:56.50. He was followed by Zach Martinez who came in 83rd in a time of 32:30.80. Josh Davis crossed in 120th (33:15.30) and Jake Travers placed 134th, (33:54.0).
Junior Matt Sanders came in 140th overall, junior Pat Reaves finished 144th and senior Dan Ryan closed the day in 157th place.
The Terps have one competition remaining on their 2005 schedule, the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Bronx, N.Y. next weekend.
