COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Senior guard Chris McCray and senior forward Nik Caner-Medley have been selected co-captains for the 2005-06 season in a vote by Terrapin players, head coach Gary Williams announced today. McCray also served as a co-captain last season along with senior Mike Grinnon. The 21st-ranked Terps open the 2005-06 season tonight against Fairleigh Dickinson at 8 p.m. at the Comcast Center.
"Nik and Chris both have the potential to be excellent leaders for this team," said Williams, who is entering his 17th season as the Terps' head coach.
