Maryland (No. 20 ESPN/USA Today, No. 23 AP) is looking for its 5th straight win when its takes on George Washington (No. 19 AP, No.22 ESPN/USA Today) in the 11th Annual BB&T Classic Monday at 9 p.m. at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. The game is one of three which will be aired live on Comcast SportsNet, with Steve Buckhantz, Dan Bonner and Jill Sorenson on the call for the Terps vs. Colonials contest. Howard will take on Navy at 4 p.m. and George Mason will play American at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (202) 397-SEAT / (410) 547-SEAT.
You can also listen to all the action live on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network with Hall of Famer Johnny Holliday and Chris Knoche on the call. The Terps defeated Minnesota, 83-66, in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge their last time out to improve to 5-1 on the season.

The Terps have lost back-to-back games to GW only twice since 1955.

Maryland earned its 4th straight victory with an 83-66 win over Minnesota at the Comcast Center in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. It was the 24th consecutive non-conference win for the Terps at home and improved Gary Williams' record in non-conference home games at Maryland to 111-2. Travis Garrison had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead 5 Terps in double figures as Maryland erased a 15-point first-half deficit for the come-from-behind win. Nik Caner-Medley added 16 points and 5 rebounds, while D.J. Strawberry had 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Chris McCray also chipped in 11 points and 6 assists as Maryland forced 22 turnovers which resulted in 29 points. The Terps used a 31-8 run to open the second half to erase a 42-36 halftime deficit. Maryland had 19 assists and 13 steals.
