COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland Gymnastics looks to improve to 7-7 as they face Rutgers, Temple and SUNY Brockport tonight at 7p.m. at the Comcast Pavilion.

The Terps beat Towson, 193.525 - 191.425 in their only other home meet this season.

Maui Invitational Quad Meet: Jan. 7

  • The 2005 Maryland gymnastics squad scored its highest opening meet total in program history (193.975).

  • Seniors Mandy Pascual and Leah Brill scored a 9.825 on uneven bars, finishing third overall and leading the Terps to victory on that event.

  • Redshirt sophomore Rachel Colon was outstanding on balance beam, scoring a 9.875 and finishing second to the defending National Champion.

  • Junior Rachel Martinez scored a 9.850 to lead Maryland to second place on floor exercise. Senior Leah Brill and redshirt sophomore Ginny Scott scored a 9.80 to help the Terps to a strong performance on floor.
  • Quad Meet at Ohio State: Jan. 15

  • After a strong performance at the Maui Invite, the Terps entered the Jan. 15th meet ranked number 15 in the GymInfo poll.

  • Freshmen Lindsey Bonomo (9.80) and Gretchen Kittelberger (9.775) led the squad to an improved team score on vault (48.700).

  • Rachel Martinez finishes third on floor exercise (9.775) and fourth in the all-around (37.925).
  • Dual Meet vs. Towson: Jan. 22

  • Rachel Martinez finished first in all-around (38.90) and first on floor (9.825).

  • Alex Gatch notched a team-high 9.80 on balance beam.

  • Terps took all four events to win meet, 193.525-191.425

    Dual Meet at Penn State: Jan. 29

  • Rachel Martinez and Rachel Colon scored a 9.80 to lead the Terps on uneven bars.

  • Martinez finished third in all-around (38.125).

  • Ginny Scott scored a team-high 9.825 on floor exercise.
  • Governor's Cup at North Carolina: Feb. 5

  • Martinez finished third with highest all-around on season (39.025).

  • Martinez led the squad on vault, bars and beam.

  • Maryland took first on beam in the quad meet (47.875).
  • EAGL Honors

  • Rachel Colon was named EAGL Specialist of the Week (Jan. 11) for her performance at the Maui Invitational. Colon's scored a 9.875 on beam and helped the Terps win the uneven bars, with a 9.80.

  • Lindsey Bonomo was named EAGL Rookie of the Week (Jan.20) for her performance on vault at Maryland's quad meet at Ohio State. Bonomo's 9.80 score was a team-best in that event.

  • Freshman Gretchen Kittelberger was named EAGL Rookie of the Week (Feb.1) for her performance against Penn State. Kittelberger tied for a team-high 9.70 on vault, notched a 9.775 on floor exercise and added a 9.65 on uneven bars.
  • The team will sign posters immediately following the meet tonight.
