MT. PLEASANT, S.C. -
The Maryland baseball team was rained out in its third game of the Charleston Challenge on Sunday. The Terps were set to take on the host College of Charleston Cougars, but heavy rains and wind led to the game's cancellation.
Maryland split its previous two games of the Charleston Challenge, falling to Le Moyne by a 5-3 count on Friday and beating Towson, 7-1, on Saturday.
The team is set to open at home on a renovated Shipley Field on Wednesday against Towson, and will play its next six games in College Park. The first pitch for Wednesday's opener is slated for 4 p.m., and the Terps will open conference play with Virginia Tech this weekend.
