Maryland Gymnastics Face Rematch with George Washington

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Gymnastics team heads to Washington D.C. to take on the George Washington Colonials tonight at 7 p.m. for the second time in a week. The Terps look to improve to 10-7 and 4-2 in the EAGL Conference.

The Terps narrowly defeated the Colonials, 192.725-191.725 February 23. Rachel Martinez dominated the meet, winning or tying for first on every event. Martinez took the all-around title, scoring 39.0.

George Washington is coming off of a win against William & Mary, 192.975-185.100. The Colonials are now 8-10 on the season. Erin Aiken won the all-around title (38.250), tied for first on uneven bars (9.75) and tied for first on floor (9.75). Meagan Wilson took first on balance beam with a season-best 9.725. George Washington continued to be strong on floor exercise, scoring 48.5 and sweeping first through fourth place.

The Terps return home Saturday to face the North Carolina Tarheels at 1 p.m. in the Comcast Pavilion.
