The Maryland women's tennis team fell to William & Mary, 5-2 on Sunday afternoon in Williamsburg, Va. With the loss the Terps dropped to 7-7 on the season. Maryland will look to rebound this Saturday, as it welcomes Clemson to College Park at 11 a.m.
In singles action, Ramona But had an impressive outing by upsetting Megan Moutlon-Levy who is currently ranked 33rd in the country. But won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. Marianne Baker fell to Lena Sherbakov, 6-2, 6-2. Candice Fuchs topped Jennifer Dent, 6-0, 6-1. Veronika Subertova lost to Candice Fuchs, 6-0, 6-1. Neda Mihneva recorded the second singles victory for the Terps by defeating, Kate Boomershine, 6-4, 6-3. Amy Wei defeated Julia Graca, 6-3, 6-1.
William & Mary took all three of the doubles matches from the Terps to take the doubles point.
