Women's Tennis Drops Match To No. 14 North Carolina, 7-0

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The Maryland women's tennis team fell to the North Carolina Tar Heels, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill, N.C. With the loss the Terps are now 7-10 on the season, and 1-5 in ACC play.

The Terps lost to doubles point to the Tar Heels to begin play falling in two of the three doubles matches. Ramona But and Masha Senic scored the doubles victory for the Terps defeating Caitlin Collins and Tanja Markovic, 8-6.

In singles play, Anjela Mojzis defeated Marianne Baker at the no. 1 position, 6-3, 6-0. Jennifer Dent fell to Kendall Cline, 6-1, 6-1. Jenna Long topped Neda Mihneva, 6-4, 6-4. Julia Graca lost her match to Sara Anundsen, 6-4, 6-4. Caitlin Collins defeated Masha Senic, 6-0, 6-0. Brooke Rogers fell to Charlotte Tansill, 6-1, 6-2 to round out play.

Maryland will be back in action on Sunday afternoon, when they face the Duke Blue Devils in Durham, N.C.
