Maryland's region includes South Carolina, North Carolina, and Charleston Southern.
With a win, Maryland will face off against the winner of North Carolina and Charleston Southern in the second round, Saturday, May 2nd.
The Terps are coming off a historic Big Ten Tournament appearance, where they defeated #10-seeded Northwestern in the first round and #2-seeded and #12-ranked USC in the quarterfinals. Those victories propelled the Terps to an NCAA tournament appearance for the first time since 2011.
Maryland is seeking its first-ever NCAA Tournament victory, as it will be its seventh appearance all-time.
With one more win, Maryland could break a women's tennis single-season record for most wins with 19 wins.
