The University of Maryland women's tennis team concluded play at the William and Mary invitational afternoon on Sunday afternoon. The Terps saw some success in doubles action as Marianne Baker and Ramona But won the flight A consolation bracket of the tournament. The combo topped Rachel DelPrriorie and Douglass Wink of Virginia, 9-8(5). In the finals of the consolation bracket Baker and But defeated Sara Anundsen and Jenna Long of North Carolina, 8-2.
In the flight B bracket, Neda Mihneva lost to Lana Krasnopolosky and Szilura Szegedi of Boston College, 8-4. In Flight C action, Veronika Subertova and Brooke Rogers fell to Raluca Ciochina and Janet Comeno, 9-8. Also in the flight C bracket, Jennifer Dent and Masha Senic were downed by Klaudyna Kastelanec and Lingda Yang of William and Mary, 8-6.
The Terrapins will be back in action this weekend as it hosts the Maryland Invitational which begins this Friday at the Tennis Center at College Park.
