Women's Tennis Set to Host Maryland Invitational

College Park, Md. - The Maryland women's tennis team will welcome six teams to College Park this weekend for the annual Maryland Invitational tournament. The Terps will face off against Duke, LSU, Notre Dame, Washington State, West Virginia, and Yale. The tournament will start tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. and will run through Sunday at the Tennis Center at College Park.
In last year's invitational Jennifer Dent won the Flight A singles title with her victory over Beatrice Grasu of Richmond, 6-4, 6-4. Neda Mihneva took home the Flight C singles titles as she topped former teammate Tamar Huppes, 6-3, 6-2. The Terps also captured a doubles title as Brooke Rogers teamed up with Mihneva to win the Flight C doubles bracket.
