Meghan Braffet led the University of Maryland women to an eighth place finish at the Chile Pepper Invitational yesterday.
The junior ran a 20:43:90 and placed 15th for the Terrapins, who finished with 306 overall points.
Laurel Jefferson followed Braffet, placing 47th with a time of 21:40:10 and Erin Matyus ran a 22:15:30, which was good for 81st place.
Arkansas placed first as a team, with 41 total points, followed by Duke (132), Texas Tech (134), Virginia Tech (168), Baylor (179), Nebraska (206), and Lamar (287).
The Terps return to action on Oct. 28 at the ACC Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
