Peters Loses in Qualifying Round

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Freshman Eleanor Peters lost her qualifying match to Katrina Tsang of North Carolina at the Riviera Women's All American Tournament.
Peters had won her first two matches to propel herself to the qualifying round. After two tough victories against Romy Farrah of Miami and Elizabeth Lumpkin of UCLA, Peters was set to face Tsang.
Peters fell in the first set 6-0. She tried to regain her strength but Tsang's play was just too much, outscoring Peters 6-1 in the second set.
Fellow Terp Marianne Baker is set to battle it out in the qualifying draws on October 3.
