During the time I was being recruited I had no idea what to look for or expect. I was very interested to learn what all the different schools had to offer, but incredibly anxious to find the school I knew I would love. The first time I ever talked to Brett on the phone I felt like I knew him for years. He had a very warm and welcoming personality with a little bit of attitude that I just loved! Once I found out everything Maryland had to offer, I knew where it stood on my list, Number ONE!! The atmosphere of the school is awesome! I loved the girls on the team, all of the coaches, the campus, and of course the opportunities. I knew I had to keep my options open, but I was sold to Maryland and it stayed at the top of my list until I finally committed. I signed my Letter of Intent at my gym with some of my best friends and family. It was incredibly exciting to know that it was finally over, and I was going to sign the papers committing me to my number one choice. As I sat there and signed that paper, I thought about all the times I wanted to quit and just give up, be done with the sport and move on. While I was thinking about all that, I thanked God that I stuck with it and all the hard work and commitment was finally paying off. You can ask any of my friends how long I have till I leave for Maryland and they can tell you. I am counting down the months, days and hours. All though it will be one of the saddest things leaving all my friends and family behind I know I have the TERP family waiting for me out East and I just cannot wait to be apart of it.
