Q: Do you have plans for next year?
Doeck: Not definite as of yet. I am currently looking for a job in the Baltimore/DC area.
Q: Who is your greatest role model?
Doeck: My Dad.
Q: What is something you do before every meet?
Doeck: Have a Red Bull and listen to some music.
Q: What music do you listen to?
Doeck: I love music and have so many favorites, but there aren't many things that beat listening to Jimi Hendrix on guitar.
Q: What is your favorite food?
Doeck: My favorite places to eat come right from College Park. It's either hitting up Marathon for a gyro or a chicken parm sub or dropping by Ledo's for their one-of-a-kind-of famous pizzas.
Q: What would you say is your role on the team this season as a senior?
Doeck: It would be showing the underclassmen guidence and leadership. Mostly helping them understand what Maryland swimming and being a teammate is really about.
Q: What are your goals for the rest of the season?
Doeck: My goals are to contribute to the team the best I can and finish my career with personal bests at ACC Championships.
Q: What is been your favorite class you have taken at Maryland?
Doeck: KNES 350 (Psych of Sport), it was great to learn about all the aspects that relate to competition from not only the physical side but also the mental side as well.
Q: What is the best thing about being a student athlete in college?
Doeck: Being on a team. I think people overlook how great it is to be apart of something where everyone is involved and supportive of you and each other in reaching your goals.
Q: Have you ever played any other sports?
Doeck: I played basketball for my High School team.
Q: What do you like to do in your free time?
Doeck: Any free time is usually spent eating, playing video games, and napping.
Q: What is the biggest difference between Maryland and your hometown?
Doeck: Since I'm from South Florida, it has to be the weather.
Q: What is your advice to the freshmen and incoming freshmen for next year about swimming in college?
Doeck: Enjoy it and have fun. It goes by fast.
Q: If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be?
Doeck: My grandfather, he died before I was born. I think it would be neat to meet him and see what he was like.
