COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Gymnastics team scored a season high 193.075 and defeated EAGL rivals Pittsburgh (191.15) and Rutgers (191.05) Friday night. The Terps improve to 8-6 on the season and 4-2 in the EAGL Conference.

Angie Ferg paced the Terps on vault with a first-place finish and career-high score of 9.85. Rachel Colon finished second overall and tied her season-high score of 9.775. Rebecca Ruppert and Rachel Martinez tied for fourth place with a score of 9.725. Maryland won the event with a score of 48.725.

Martinez tied for first overall with Pittsburgh's Andrea Arlotta on uneven bars with a score of 9.725. Alex Gatch notched a 9.65 for fifth place and Mandy Pascual added a 9.625, tying for sixth place. The Terps took first place on the event with a score of 48.075.

Colon finished second on balance beam overall with a score of 9.675 and Gatch tied for fourth place with a score of 9.6. Kim Loew tallied a 9.575, tying for sixth place. Maryland scored a season high 47.725 on the event for first place.

Martinez scored her second 9.9 of the season to finish first on floor exercise. Loew notched a career high 9.725, tying for fifth place. Ferg notched a 9.7 for eighth place and the Terps scored a season high 48.55 on the event.

Pittsburgh's Andrea Arlotta won the all-around with a score of 38.975. Martinez finished second with a 38.875 and Colon placed third with a score of 38.6.

The Terps are now 5-1 at home and will host the Temple Owls, February 26 at 2 p.m. in the Comcast Pavilion.
