GEORGIA TECH - No. 31 Maryland Women's Tennis Team was defeated by No. 13 Georgia Tech, 7-0, Saturday at the Bill Moore Tennis Center at Georgia Tech.

No. 13 Ramona But and Marianne Baker were first to play for the Terps. They capture the only win of the day, sliding past No. 12 Kristi Miller and Lyndsay Shosho. Georgia Tech then captured the doubles point, becoming victorious over Maryland's second and third doubles team.

In first singles, Baker was defeated by Kristi Miller, 6-4, 6-1. Veronika Subertova also fell, 6-0, 1-0.

Third and fourth singles Neda Mihneva and Jennifer Dent both were defeated in their matches. Alison Silverio of Georgia Tech beat Mihneva, 6-3, 6-2, while Kelly Anderson defeated Dent, 6-0, 6-3.

Michal Amir, who played fifth for the Terps, fell to her opponent, 6-2, 6-0. Last to play for the Terps was Juliana Naso, who lost 6-0, 6-0.

The women will be at Clemson tomorrow at 12 p.m.
