SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Dominic Berger's second-place finish in the men's 110-meter hurdles and Kierra Foster's fifth-place result in the women's long jump meant the University of Maryland scored points on both sides in the final team standings at the 2006 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last weekend at Sacramento State University.
Berger scored eight points to give the Terrapins a tie for 30th place among the 69 men's scoring teams at the nationals.
Foster had four points for the Terps, who finished in a tie for 47th place on the women's side. There were 78 women's teams that scored at the nationals.
