Meghan Braffet, last week's ACC Cross Country Performer of the Week, placed fifth overall to lead the University of Maryland to a fourth place finish at the Tribe Invitational today.
Braffet, a redshirt junior, finished the 6K race in 22:05:20 and finished just ahead of teammate Laurel Jefferson, who placed seventh. Jefferson ran a 22:17:30.
The Terps finished with 84 total points, finishing behind Georgetown, who won the meet with 43 points, Virginia Tech, 55 points, and William and Mary, 73 points.
Ashley Campbell (18th, 23:01:00), Erin Matyus (22nd, 23:12:90), and Kristin Reed (33rd 23:29:10) rounded out the top-five for the Terps.
The Terrapin women return to action October 14 at the Chile Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
