Freshman tennis player Eleanor Peters recently won a golden ball at the 2006 Women's Indoor National Tennis Championship. The championship was held on December 31st at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
"Winning a golden ball is very exciting," said Peters. "I have won silver and bronze balls before but never a golden."
"I am very proud on Eleanor. Competing in this competition while most student-athletes were relaxing during winter break shows Eleanor's dedication and love of competing." said head coach Martin Novak.
