PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Maryland wrestling team continued its winning ways by overwhelming its two opponents on January 7 at Duquesne. The Terrapins opened the day with a 48-3 victory against Delaware State and then went on to take down the Dukes, 44-3, in the final match of the day. Maryland has now won six-straight duals and eight of its last nine.

The Hornets recorded their only win with a decision at 174 pounds. Haines and Taylor ended the match with back-to-back technical falls.
Maryland opened the match against the Dukes with a 3-0 lead as sophomore James Knox slipped by Jonathon Bittinger, 7-5, in overtime. Duquesne responded and tied it up with a decision at 133, but the Terps took off from there and won the rest of the matches. Included in the eight-straight wins were four pins.
