Kim Named ACC Performer Of The Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Junior Dong Kim (Bucks Co, Pa.) was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week. The title follows his impressive four event wins against Saturday's meet against Duke.
Kim, along with senior Captain Eric Thomasson, junior Eric Cullen and freshman Nick Cordes, won the first heat for Maryland in the men's 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:27.18.
In the 100 yard backstroke, Kim swam to victory with a final time of 51.55 to capture Maryland's second heat victory against Duke.
Kim also won three other events of the day in the 100 yard backstroke, the 100 yard freestyle and the 400 yard freestyle relay.
Maryland will take a break from competition this weekend before hosting the Terrapin Cup Invitational on November 16-18 at Eppley's Natatorium.
