#4/4 Maryland 71, Boston College 39
February 4, 2007
Comcast Center

• The Terrapins snapped a two-game losing streak with the victory. It improves their record to 22-3 (6-3).
• Maryland won thanks in large part to their second-half defense. The Eagles shot just .143 from the floor on the half and was held without a field goal for more than eight minutes. After a field goal at the 13:08 mark by Mickel Picco, they did not hit another shot from the floor until Kaydia Kentish knocked one down at the 4:54 mark, a span of 8:14.
• The 39 points given up by Maryland is the fewest the Terps have given up in an ACC game since January 28, 1994, when they defeated Florida State 81-39.
• Boston College's 39 points marks a season low for the Eagles.
• Every Terp got on the floor during the game, and every one of them scored. It is the first time that has happened since a 92-57 victory over UNC Greensboro on December 29.
Christie Marrone hit her first shot of the night, her first points in ACC play since joining the Terrapins.
Shay Doron and Laura Harper both reached the 500 career rebound plateau during the game. Doron pulled down 4 boards and now sits at 503 overall. Harper grabbed 6 rebounds to finish with exactly 500 in her career.
• The Terps were perfect from the free throw line, shooting 7-for-7. Kristi Toliver was 2-for-2, improving her season percentage to .884 (46-52). She currently has the second best percentage for a season in the program's history. Last year, she set the record by shooting .891 (57-64).
• Toliver also moved up the single-season record list for three-point field goals. Her 2-for-3 game gives her 53 treys on the season, moving her into sixth place overall and just 16 behind the record holder, Tiffany Brown, who hit 69 during the 1999-2000 season.
• For the 24th time in the Terps' 25 games, at least three Terps hit double figures. Marissa Coleman and Harper each had 11 to join Doron's 15.
• For just the second time this season, Crystal Langhorne failed to register at least 10 points. She finished with 7 points and 6 rebounds.
