Feb. 7, 2007

The Maryland gymnastics team will face George Washington this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the Comcast Center Pavilion. After three consecutive weeks on the road, the Terps hosts their second home meet against a fellow East Atlantic Gymnastics League member.

Both teams turned in season-high scores last week. The Terps are coming off a third-place finish and a team total of 191.975 at the Governor's Cup in Raleigh, N.C. last Friday. The highlight of the competition was their vaulting rotation (48.725 score); every competitor set or matched their season-high score.

The Colonials scored a season-high, a 191.375 score, and finished fourth in a five-team meet at West Virginia last Saturday.

The No. 41 Terrapins have a record of 3-8 while the No. 42 Colonials' record is 4-6.

Admission is free to the public and the team will autograph posters at the conclusion of the competition.
