Maryland Hosts Penn State at Home

March 1, 2007

The No. 33 Maryland gymnastics team will host No. 16 Penn State at home this Friday in the Comcast Center Pavilion at 7:00 p.m.

The Terps are coming off a win and new season-high 194.700 score last week at their "Terps for a Cure" quad meet against James Madison, New Hampshire and Temple.

The Nittany Lions earned their season-high score to defeat No. 18 Ohio State, 196.450-194.825, last Saturday.

This Friday's dual meet is the first and only time during the regular season that the Terps and Nittany Lions will face each other. January, 29, 2005 was the last time the teams competed against each other when Penn State defeated Maryland, 196.300-192.325. The all-time series record that began between the Terps and Nittany Lions in 1987 is 1-6.

ACC Select will be broadcasting this meet live online. Visit www.accselect.com for viewing information. Calling the action will be Maryland gymnast Kim Loew.
