COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Gary Williams Radio Show, featuring Maryland head basketball coach Gary Williams and Hall of Fame broadcaster Johnny Holliday, returns Monday, March 12, at R.J. Bentley's in College Park. The show will run from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Students, alumni and all Terrapin fans are invited to join the Terps head coach tonight. Fans will also be able to ask questions on-location at R.J. Bentley's or by calling toll free (800) 518-4012. Williams, who is in his 18th season as head coach at his alma mater, conducts the weekly-call-in show alongside Holliday, who has been the "Voice of the Terps" for 28 years.
The show airs on the Terrapin Sports Radio Network, which includes flagship stations WHFS 105.7 FM and ESPN Radio AM-1300 in Baltimore; Network affiliates include: WMAL AM-630 (Washington, DC), WTBO AM-1450 (Cumberland), WFMD AM-930 (Frederick), WARK AM-1490 (Hagerstown), WMSG AM-1050 (Oakland), WQMR 101.1 FM (Ocean City), WCEM AM-1240 (Cambridge); and WAMD AM-970 (Aberdeen).
The Terps travel to Buffalo, N.Y., this week to take part in the NCAA Tournament. Maryland, which owns a record of 24-8, earned the fourth seed and will face No. 13 Davidson in the first round. Tip-off is scheduled for 12:20 p.m. The game will be televised on CBS.
