COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The University of Maryland women's softball team will be holding open walk-on tryouts for the 2008 season on Sunday, September 16, 2007. The tryouts will begin at 1 p.m. at Robert E. Taylor Stadium in College Park, Md. The team will also be hosting another open tryout in the spring for those students that will be enrolled for spring semester. The dates for that open tryout will be announced at a later date.

To qualify for the tryouts, all participants must:

Carry at least 12 credits for full-time status at the University of Maryland during 2007-2008 academic year.

Complete Liability and Waiver form by September 11, 2007. Send completed form to Katy Meassicck via fax at (301) 314-9439 or email to meassick@umd.edu

Demonstrate proof of insurance. Please send documentation to Katy Meassick at the contact information listed above.

Bring copy of 2007-08 Class schedule.

Bring your own equipment to tryouts (glove, cleats, bat).
