COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's tennis team will open its spring season at home this weekend against Dartmouth Saturday and against Auburn Sunday. Both matched will be at 10 a.m. and will be held at the Tennis Center at College Park.

After a two-month break, the Terps are gearing up for what they hope is a return to the NCAA Championships.

Dartmouth is 1-0 on the spring season, with its win coming 4-3 over Boston College. Auburn is currently 1-1 with a 7-0 loss to Georgia Tech earlier this month and a 7-0 win over Mercer last weekend.

Maryland returns four veterans from last year's squad, and added four highly-recruited freshmen. Junior Michal Amir will serve as the team's captain this year.

The team will play host to teams from around the country in its 15 home matches this season.
