Maryland head coach Brenda Frese
Opening Statement
"It was just a tremendous team win tonight and I was extremely pleased with what we were able to do on the defensive end. To be able to hold a team like Miami with their athleticism and ability to shoot the basketball is spectacular. I think our defense dictated everything we did tonight. To see the unselfish play and the extreme aggressiveness in the passing lanes was just wonderful to watch. It's great to watch a game come completely together which is what we did tonight."

On coming off of the North Carolina loss
"We were concerned about our defense and our rebounding and we've definitely taken that to heart as tonight's play shows. To be able to have such a convincing win tonight says a lot about our character."

On Crystal Langhorne achieving a 2,000 point career milestone, the first in Maryland women's history
"This is, of course, a special milestone. It speaks to Crystal and what she has been able to do for this program. She has the amazing ability to put the ball in the basket, but as I am sure Crystal will tell you, this doesn't happen without great teammates. Records don't happen without each other. Everything we do as a team is together."

On junior Kristi Toliver's performance tonight
"I love to see where Kristi's floor game is right now. Her unselfishness, they way she dictates tempo, and penetrates. When Kristi gets between the lines, you have to defend her. She knows how to get her teammates involved which makes us a better team."

On freshman Marah Strickland's performance throughout the season
"I love how Marah plays within herself. She patiently waits for the game to come to her. I love seeing the confidence she plays with on the offensive end and on the defensive end. She's always done a great job. She always takes the toughest defensive assignment, which is a great compliment for a freshman to come in and learn the system that quickly. She is a relentless worker on the floor which is why she is a special player and will continue to be one."

Maryland senior Crystal Langhorne
On scoring her 2,000th point this evening
"I am extremely honored and grateful that my teammates and Coach B always have confidence in me. Everybody has played a role in helping me achieve these goals."

Maryland junior Kristi Toliver
On having 500 career assists
"The amazing ability of my teammates to score the ball makes my job that much easier. It makes it a pleasure for me to go out there and play everyday."

Miami head coach Katie Meier
Opening Statement:
"That was a great response by Maryland, I wasn't happy playing them off a loss. I knew that it was going to be tough playing them in this situation because they were going to want to go down low and we have a problem defending that. Their talent was overwhelming, but I don't think our response was tough enough. I want to congratulate Crystal Langhorne on scoring 2,000 points because that's a big deal."

On putting the pressure on Maryland's offense early:
"We had a little bit of success with that, but I think the problem is, is that eventually Maryland is going to figure it out and you have to be able to adjust your defense. We were unable to adjust to their press break and once that happened we weren't able to keep them from moving the ball up the floor. You have to be careful speeding up the game because they can drop 120 points on you, so I just think overall we had a hard time adjusting."
