Maryland Head Coach Gary Williams
"Coming off last night, I didn't know what to expect. I was hoping to carry that momentum into this game. Gonzaga is good. I'm impressed with their people. They were quick enough, given their size. Obviously they hurt us on the glass. When you play a team that good, you have to play better than we did. We got outrebounded by quite a few."
"We'll look at the tape, see ways we can play better. Once they get an angle on our defensive player, the ball always goes to the right side of that player, they're very good at passing. In the second half, I think our defense might've been a little better early on."
"Anytime you shoot a bad percentage, and the defense of Gonzaga has something to do with it, ... I think we learned a lot tonight from a good team."
On Gonzaga
"They have all the tools and it's not just the first five guys. Anytime you have that combination, you have a chance. When you look at Gonzaga, when you look at that bench, they have as much a chance as anybody. And anytime you return five starters I think that gives you an edge."
On playing Georgetown on Sunday
"It's a game that's ironic we're playing here. My third, fourth year we played them where they used to play. They're a very good basketball team. The ACC and the Big East are two very good leagues."
Gonzaga Head Coach Mark Few
On dominating Maryland inside
"I didn't think we did early. As a group I think we need to continue to try to do that. It was Josh's (Heytvelt) responsibility to deliver tonight like he did, so he got a lot on putbacks, too. I thought he did a decent job of getting in there and getting some offensive rebounds, and that's what changed the game there in the second half."
"In the second half I thought rebounds were the key. We did a good job of keeping them off the offensive glass, and we did a better job of anticipating the miss on our end and go in there and try and make a play. That's what broke the game open."
"We wanted to spread them and see if we could attack them and get them off-balance. They were hugging our guys a lot coming off the ball screen. We were able to get some fouls on them and get into the bonus."
On Gary Williams
"He does a great job, his teams reflect his hard-nosed, tough personality, and that's why he's a Hall of Fame coach. In that first half I thought they were giving it to us pretty good. I think they're spacing the floor well, they're sharing it really well. I thought they missed a lot of shots tonight, that's what happened. They missed a lot of threes that they made (Thursday) against Michigan State."
