The Maryland women's tennis team will open Atlantic Coast Conference competition by playing host to No. 8 Duke Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Tennis Center at College Park. The Terps will then take on Miami (Ohio) Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Tennis Center.
The Terrapins are 2-5 on the spring season. They fell to No. 56 Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon, 4-3. The Terps went on to beat Old Dominion Sunday afternoon, 5-2. Sophomore Maggie MacKeever and freshman Karin Lundmark both went 3-1 in their singles and doubles matches this weekend.
The Blue Devils are 5-1 heading into their match-up against the Terrapins and are coming off of a home loss to No. 2 Northwestern Sunday afternoon. This is the first ACC match for Duke as well.
The Miami (Ohio) Redhawks are 6-2 heading into the weekend. They will stop at Virginia Commonwealth Thursday, before coming to College Park for their match-up with the Terrapins. They fell to Marshall, 6-1, over the weekend.
