College Park, Md. - Maryland sophomore Michele Brenner was named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Specialist of the Week after notching a career-high score last weekend.

Brenner, a native of New City, N.Y., scored 9.90 on the floor exercise in a home quad meet that included Michigan, Pittsburgh and Temple. She tied for first place on the event with Michigan senior Katie Lieberman.

Brenner is currently ranked fourth within the EAGL on floor with a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 9.825.

The Terps conclude their regular season on the road in University Park, Pa., on Friday, March 21. Maryland will face host Penn State, Nebraska and Rutgers. The meet is set for 7:00 p.m. at Rec Hall.
