COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland gymnastics team takes a quick road trip to Washington, D.C., Sunday to compete against host George Washington, Kent State and West Virginia. The meet is set for 3:00 p.m. at the Smith Center.
Last Time Out
The 37th-ranked University of Maryland gymnastics team posted a season-best team score of 193.250 as the Terrapins placed third at the Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. last Sunday.
Sophomore Talia Tossone won balance beam with a 9.850, the third time this season she has gone 9.8 or better.
Senior Gretchen Kittelberger scored a 38.225 in her first event of the season in which she competed as an all-around competitor.
Maryland had a season-high team score on vault, scoring a 48.60, the third time this season the Terps have scored above 48 on the event.
Looking Ahead
The Terrapins host their final home event of the season on March 15 against Michigan, Pitt and Temple. The meet is slated for 4:00 p.m. at the Comcast Pavilion. Seniors Lindsey Bonomo and Kittelberger will be honored for their achievements at Maryland.
