COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The Maryland Terrapins softball team won both of its games Thursday evening against CCBC. Junior Kerry Hickey and freshman Lexi Carroll both threw no-hitters in the wins.
The Terps went 2-0 in the two games. They won the first, 12-0, and the second, 9-0.
Thursday marked the first appearance for the Terrapins this fall. With many new faces on the roster, the Terps welcomed the team efforts.
"It was a great start to our fall season," head coach Laura Watten said. "It was just a sign as to how our year will go. We had great energy and got a lot of productivity out of our newcomers."
The Terps will head to the George Washington University Round Robin tournament in Washington D.C. this Sunday. They will take on George Washington at 9 a.m. and Delaware at 1 p.m.
Next weekend, the Terrapins will host the Maryland Fall Round Robin tournament.
