COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Senior Greivis Vasquez led all scorers with 25 points and dished out nine assists, while Sean Mosley finished with a double-double at 21 points and 10 rebounds during Maryland's first intrasquad scrimmage of the season held Saturday at Comcast Center.
Landon Milbourne also had a double-double in the contest, scoring 18 points and grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds.
The teams were split into Red and Black squads by head coach Gary Williams, who changed the lineups for each of the four 10-minute quarters.
The competition was solid, as neither squad won a quarter by more than four points, with the other periods being decided by two, three and one point.
"I think we're playing hard for this time of year," said Williams. "There haven't been many times when I've had to stop practice to tell them to play harder."
Freshman James Padgett finished with 17 points, Dino Gregory and Adrian Bowie had 16 apiece and Jin Soo Choi added 10 points.
The two teams combined to shoot 41 percent from the floor, but 45 percent from three-point range.
The Terrapins are working in preparation for a Nov. 3 exhibition game at home against Indiana, Pa., with their season-opener on Nov. 13 at home against Charleston Southern.
