Vasquez Leads Terps: Greivis Vasquez scored the first basket of the game, a 3-pointer, and went on to have a very productive game. Making his 100th career start, Vasquez led the Terps in scoring with 27 points, marking the fifth time in the past six games he has led the team in scoring.

Combined with 20 points against Eastern Kentucky, he has back-to-back 20 point games for the first time since early last season (28 vs. Youngstown State on Nov. 18, 2008 and 26 vs. Vermont on Nov. 21, 2008). - - The 27 points is the highest scoring output by a Terp this season. Sean Mosley previously held the mark (26 vs. Villanova, 12/6).

Vasquez went 9-of 16 (.563) from the floor, his best shooting percentage this season. He had previously hit 50 percent twice this season: 4-of-8 vs. New Hampshire (11/20); 7-of-14 vs. Eastern Kentucky (12/12).

Double-double for Greivis: With 27 points and 11 assists, Vasquez recorded a double-double for the first time this season. The last time the senior had one was on March 12, 2009 against NC State in the ACC Tournament, when he had 17 points and 10 assists.

Terps light it up from outside: Maryland connected on 9 of 14 3-point field goals in the first half, the most 3-point field goals made and attempted this season in a half. The Terps finished the game 12-of-18 (.667), a season-high percentage. Overall, Maryland shot 56.9 percent from the field, also a season-high.

Bowie, Tucker Provide Spark: Coming off the bench, the pair of juniors accounted for 14 points in a 17-6 run over 4:02 (12:16 to 8:14) in the first half. Tucker contributed eight points in the run, while Bowie had six.

Season-Highs: Tucker set a season-high with 13 points, beating his previous mark of nine, achieved against Charleston Southern (11/13). It was his first double-figure scoring game since he had a career-high 22 on Feb. 21, 2009, against North Carolina... Bowie had a season-high nine points (previous: eight vs. Fairfield on 11/17).

Tidbits: Jordan Williams has grabbed at least five rebounds in each of the 10 games this season... the Terps had five players in double-figures {Vasquez (27); Tucker (13); Sean Mosley (12); Jordan Williams (12); Eric Hayes (10)} for the first time since the season-opener against Charleston Southern...the 98 points scored by the Terps tonight were the most since a 101-50 win over Missouri-Kansas City on Dec. 23, 2006...the 43-point margin of victory was the largest since the 51-point margin over Missouri-Kansas City.

Game Trends: With the game tied at 12 in the first half, Maryland went on a 9-2 run, thanks to three 3-pointers in 1:07 to take a 21-14 lead. Tucker, Bowie and Vasquez made the 3s.

Maryland started the second half on a 12-3 run, and outscored Winston-Salem State 57-26 in the second half.

The Terps out-rebounded the Rams 25-17 in the second half. They also held Winston-Salem State to just 26.5 percent shooting (9 of 34).

Maryland forced 19 turnovers while committing just nine and held a 25-8 advantage in points off turnovers.

Maryland held a 96-50 lead late in the second half, their largest lead of the season. The previous high was 38 over Charleston Southern (11/13).
