Hey Terp Fans!

It's Abbey... and Brandi... and Becca with a special edition of Tumble Talk! We got back early Sunday morning from West Virginia University where we fought with our HEARTS. We started off strong on bars hitting 6 for 6, and then went to beam with high hopes. After a few mistakes on beam, we knew we had to continue to hold nothing back in order to take the lead. We didn't give up, and we finished strong on beam remembering we had nothing to lose. Next we went to floor and continued to fight through thick and thin no matter what obstacles came our way. Our enthusiasm and high energy on floor gave us a great lead into vault where we knew we had to hit 6 for 6 in order to win the meet. The Terps hit 6 for 6, but couldn't have done it without the unity and heart of the entire team that gave those competing energy and confidence. When the meet was finished, no matter what the scoreboard showed, we knew we did everything we could have and that we fought with our hearts throughout the entire meet. We walked away with a first place finish, and more important, we walked away believing in each other and excited about the weeks to come!

In this special edition of Tumble Talk, we have put together something fun so that you can get to know your Terps! ...dun dun dun...

How well do you think you know us?! Well, we have a little quiz to see how much you know about us... outside of the gym.

Let's get started! Guess which Maryland gymnast or coach gave these responses?

1. I can't go a week without: my phone, computer, spending money, smiling and wearing pink
2. Name something you are good at besides gymnastics: Skiing (but I do make some mean scrambled eggs!)
3. Favorite quote: The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in war.
4. Favorite animal: Panda bear
5. Most embarrassing moment: I tripped and fell to the ground in the middle of a competition floor routine.
6. Biggest pet peeve: Losing just ONE sock! What do you do with the other one?!
7. If you could change places with someone for a day who would it be? My 12 year-old sister. It would be nice to not have so many responsibilities for a day!
8. If you were on the cover of a magazine which magazine would it be? Motor Trend
9. I can't go a week without: Dr. Pepper and Cheese
10. Favorite quote: I do the best I can the best I know how... Abe Lincoln
11. What sport would you do if not gymnastics? ...Track? I'm not sure, just nothing that involves too much hand-eye coordination because I have none!

20. What is your dream vacation? Surfing in Hawaii
21. Name something you are good at besides gymnastics: Soccer
22. What sport would you do if not gymnastics? Something where coordination isn't too important and being short is a huge advantage!
23. Biggest fear: Syrup. When I was little I spilled syrup on my favorite blue polar bear pajamas and had to sit through the rest of breakfast all sticky.
24. Biggest fear: Birds fluttering all around me
25. Favorite Quote: What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
