Terps Swimming and Diving Hands Out Awards at Annual Banquet

The Maryland swimming and diving program handed out awards and paid tribute to the 2008-09 campaign at its annual end-of-year banquet Sat., April 19, in Heritage Hall at the Comcast Center.
First-year head coach Sean Schimmel passed out awards to the following student-athletes:
Most Improved Freshman - Through commitment and championship effort, these athletes improved the most over the season

Andrew Relihan
Terp MVP Award - Over the season, these athletes had the most impact on the success of the team
Jen Vogel
Andy Dilz
UMD Scholar Athlete Award - These athletes excel in the classroom as well as in the water (3.0 gpa min)

Mitch Challacombe
William R. Campbell Award - Senior who has contributed the most to the team over his/her tenure

Dave Diehl Award - Athlete that is committed to the betterment of the team
