COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland baseball team travels to the University of Delaware at 3 p.m. Tuesday for its season finale, looking to secure consecutive winning seasons for the first time in program history since the 1980 and 1981 campaigns.
The Terrapins (27-26) have won five straight games, including a series sweep of Wake Forest last weekend, the Terps' first sweep of an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent since 2002.
Maryland, which now owns a winning record for the first time since the season's second week, has history on its side in Tuesday's game. The Terps closed out last season at Delaware, as well. Scott Swinson threw a no-hitter in that game, leading the Terps to their 30th victory of the season, only the second 30-win year in school history.
The Blue Hens enter the game with a 23-18 record, but have lost four of their last five games.
The game will be broadcast live on the Internet at WMUCSports.com.
