PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Maryland men's swimming and diving team fell against Pitt and Penn State this weekend in tri-meet action at Trees Pool.
Andrew Relihan led the way for Maryland with a pair of second-place finishes in the 200 IM (1:53.59) and 200 back (1:50.22) and touched the wall third 400 IM (4:03.57).

As they did on the women's side, the Terps performed well in the 200 fly with Roger Dent taking third (1:52.78) and Sean Stewart (1:54.29).
In relay action, the team of Relihan, Jeff Winters, Alexsandar Damjanic and Matt Gruszecki racked up a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay (3:27.11).
Maryland fell to host-Pitt, 253-100, and Penn State, 236-168.
"I thought we responded well this weekend," head coach Sean Schimmel said. "Considering our work load with weightlifting and training, we haven't taken anything off and we are still putting up good times. Five weeks out from the conference championship, I feel very good about where we are."
Maryland takes on West Virginia in dual meet action next Saturday at Eppley Recreation Natatorium.
